Riku grinned at Kairi, his eyes sparkling in the dim daylight left. It was time for a bit of privacy, hopefully. Riku grabbed her hand and pulled gently, leading her off to the beach. His shoes crunched softly in the sand, leaving faint tracks. After a short walk, they ended up at a beached log, not too far from the Paopu tree. Riku finally released her hand, sitting down against the log, getting himself comfortable. He patted the sand next to him, a universally understood gesture.
"Well, c'mon, Kairi, sit down, let's chat a bit. Sora'll be all the way on the other side of the island, by now, so no need to worry about interruptions this time. We really haven't even gotten a chance to catch up; what've you been up to, recently?"
The sun had set completely, by then, and a sickle moon shone down on the two, illuminating the two. A slight breeze kicked up, bringing them the scent of the sea and blowing sand around the pair in billowing gusts.
